Background & Experience
Dr Bing Xin Tan graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Melbourne, where he was recognised for academic and clinical excellence through the Gladys and George Campbell Scholarship, the Delta Sigma Delta Student Achievement Award, and inclusion on the Dean’s Honours List.
Experience & Philosophy
He has gained extensive clinical experience across both public and private sectors, including community clinics and hospitals in both metropolitan and rural Australia. This wide-ranging exposure has shaped his gentle, patient-centred approach to dentistry—one that prioritises clear communication, empathy, and evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.
He has a particular interest in preventive and restorative dentistry and is committed to continual professional growth. He regularly attends hands-on workshops and clinical courses to stay current with the latest advances in dental materials and techniques.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Dr Tan is passionate about education and outreach. He is the Co-Founder and former President of Global Health Youth Connect, a non-profit organisation that empowers youth to engage with global health issues. When not working, he enjoys exploring food spots and travelling with his partner.
